Aspen valley icon Mt Sopris

BMG is founded on many concepts and values, one of them is strength of character and standing strong (like a mountain). This particular mountain is not the tallest in BMGs home state of Colorado but it rises 1500 ft high above the valley floor. There are all kinds of mountain metaphors but visually and physically this mountain speaks to its virtues. The BMG founder knows this first hand through his snowboard ascent in the spring of 2010. The mountain proved a formidable opponent with an alpine start at 5am and the summit around 11am. Check out this tweaked photo from sopris just after sunrise.

The power of connections

Interconnectedness is a value of BMG as a collective. Here is an example of the power of synergy. This image shows how interconnectedness of world financial institutions and everyone knows how powerful they are. Its been said, "its not what you know but who you know," I think this confirms that cliche.

Rudyard Kipling Quote

The power of BMG is in the balance and depth of our organization. Rudyard speaks to this BMG value. “If you can walk with the crowd and keep your virtue, or walk with Kings-nor lose the common touch; If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you; If all men count with you, but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute with 60 seconds worth of distance run-Yours is the earth and everything that's in it, And-which is more-you'll be a man my son.” ― Rudyard Kipling

Time: the concept

BMG thinks that time is an important factor in our mission to live life to the fullest (it enables us to live because we are finite) yet there is something off about it. This short paragraph about time describes a new(er) way to look at the universe: Before the contrast and before the summoning, and before the answering of Source Energy, the Universe was less. So rather than thinking in terms of time, think in terms of expansion, and then you will understand time in the way we understand it. We never think about how long anything takes. We are just enjoying the expansion. And so, our now is always powerful in our anticipation of what is becoming. --- Abraham

Professional team building project

In the month of November BMG is collaborating with Colorado Wilderness Rides and Guides and Yanez Productions to bring you professional cycling like you've never seen it before. High in the rockies some of the best cyclists will be pushed to their limites with a specially designed course that is 12 miles long with about 7000 ft of vertical. This is the first time the BMG team is coming together, great things are coming.

BMG Founder is 23, dalai lama speaks

Today marks another year gone by, and the beginning of a new one with new things happening. BMG plans to launch a clothing line, grow an outdoor guide business, and form a new social media site for colorado. This is the year of NOW. The Dalai Lama supports the idea: When asked what surprises him most about man the DL answers, "Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. and then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die and then dies having never really lived." Wise words, and the new BMG motto.

Interesting quote

‎"I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go. Things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right. You believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together." - Marilyn Monroe

Word of the Day

Word of the Day is OPTIMALISM. It is a term that refers to the good side of perfectionism. For reference look at: Tal Ben-Shahar author of The Pursuit of Perfect.

Powerful Quote

A member of the BMG team emailed me with the following:

Today, Steve Jobs, resigned from Apple. Probably should be named the "comeback kid of all time" for his efforts to resurrect the company from the ashes to the most valuable tech company.

Of the quotes attributed to him....I like this one the best.

Six years ago, Jobs delivered his only commencement speech -- one that is often cited as the speech of his life. "Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life," he told the crowd at Stanford University.

This is at the heart of BMG's mission. BMG wants people to live their lives in unique and powerful ways as does Steve Jobs. If any member of the BMG blog wants to contribute quotes it would be appreciated.

Interesting Idea

GE's Sigma Six is next level management stuff. The term Sigma refers to the amount of deviation from perfection in any given operation.

Boulder Creek

Boulder creek has been raging for some time now. The kayakers are out in force and the tubers have retired for the time being. Here is a picture of one tuber before the water got too high. The power of water can be deceptive. Some of the moments captured on the creek are priceless and so spontaneous and thats why Boulder creek is truly one of the best spots in Boulder. This BMG post is showcasing spontaneity and being in the moment. Objects with these qualities fit the BMG mission of finding the realist moments in life.

Sound of the Day

A lovely accompaniment for dinner at the City Club in Boulder Colorado at the Conscious Global Leadership Institute seminar. This was recorded with a Zoom H4N with the internal mic. Set about 2 ft away from the players and 1 ft below. Enjoy and share it!

Initial thoughts on BMG

The Bull Media Group was inspired one day while Anders was sitting at the pool in Denver. After seeing a bro who looked very bro-ish, he contemplates the nature of culture. Realizing that it is indeed a cult he preceded to think about ways to find the realist and most powerful experiences out there. The name Bull Media Group comes from bull shit culture and that was shortened to bull culture. Bull Media Group will focus on many sectors from documentary film to fashion in an unending search to showcase and evolve the beautiful moments that make up the human experience. In its physical form BMG will be a conglomerate of creativity driven enterprises: modeling agency, movie studio, philanthropy vehicle etc. The name of the game is interconnectedness and in that spirit BMG will use its resources accordingly to create a creative fission and fusion.

Each posting will have an insight on the brilliant/inspiring action of the day as well as accompanying media. HD video will be utilized as well as still photography and audio recordings. This is the new multimedia blog of life. Todays posting will include a short video of Simba trying to eat food like a human. Very entertaining. Enjoy.
